Co-founders Curt and Eve Odar saw their own teen kids struggle with understanding AI. “They are surrounded by AI and told it will change everything,” Eve said, “but they are handed almost no guidance on how to use it responsibly or how to build anything meaningful with it.”Curt and Eve Odar with their children. That realization led to hello EIKO’s AI for Business Bootcamp, a two-week, in-person program where students learn by doing. They work in small teams, partner with real local businesses, and build AI-powered solutions they can actually demo, share, and talk about in college applications, interviews, and internship conversations. Students do not need a technical background to use AI – they just need to know how to communicate and use their critical thinking skills. Designed to teach students to apply generative AI to real business problems, the bootcamp focuses on ethics, practical skills, and measurable outcomes. For parents who are feeling overwhelmed and underinformed, hello EIKO is hosting a free webinar on February 25. The team will explain the AI landscape and offer practical tactics with real examples, giving parents the tools to guide their teens with clarity and confidence. Teens are welcome but the goal is to equip parents to coach them through this shift.hello EIKO ran a pilot program for teens last fall with a simple goal: to create with AI and tackle real problems, not just watch tutorials. Over eight days, Curt coached a small team in partnership with Wakefield High School in Arlington to build the school’s public chatbot. He knew they tapped into something special when one of the students called from a Friday night football game and said, “I think our chatbot’s up, can you check?” The teens were thrilled to have created something real that their community could use.The first bootcamp in session! The team worked hard to create value for their school. The feedback was enthusiastic and promising. “Collaborating with real clients helped me develop my presentation skills, learn to think like a builder, and see my ideas turn into real-world solutions,” said Kooper, a freshman at UVA. His friend and classmate Ben agreed. “Working on the Chatbot project taught me how real product development works. I used the experience in my college essays and listed it as a main extracurricular on my Common App.”AI for Business Bootcamp: June, July and August 2026This program is geared toward motivated rising high school juniors and seniors (ages 16+) and college freshmen and sophomores who want a portfolio-ready differentiator for college or internships.Format and schedule:Two-week, in-person sessions at 607 Prince Street in Old Town AlexandriaOffered in June, July and AugustDaily hours: Mon-Fri, 1–6 pmRegistration due March 31Objectives and outcomes:A finished AI solution they can share publicly or use in applicationsA stronger essay and interview story grounded in real workPractice with professional skills like client communication, deadlines, and team rolesInvestment and capacity:Tuition: $2,500 per two-week session; early bird discount ends Feb. 28.
