Dometic DG3 Gyro Stabiliser Arrives in Australia

Dometic has announced the arrival of its award-winning DG3 Gyro Stabiliser in Australia for the first time, marking a significant milestone for the local marine industry. Following a successful global launch, the DG3 will now be available on Australian shores, with Onboard Electrical Pty Ltd and Barrenjoey Marine Electrics appointed as the first two authorised Australian dealers.

The DG3 Gyro Stabiliser represents Dometic’s entry into the active gyroscopic stabilisation category and has already received strong international recognition. Most notably, the DG3 was named a finalist in the Fast Company 2025 Innovation by Design Awards in the Transportation Design category, highlighting its advanced engineering and impact within the marine sector.

Engineered to significantly reduce vessel roll and improve onboard comfort, the DG3 delivers industry-leading performance through a fully electric design with precession actuator. With spin-up times of approximately 16 minutes, energy recovery during spin-down, and up to 40 per cent lower power consumption compared with conventional systems, the DG3 offers Australian boat owners a faster, more efficient stabilisation solution without the complexity of hydraulics.

Onboard Electrical Pty Ltd has been appointed as an authorised DG3 dealer. The team delivers dedicated local support, including expert sales guidance, professional installation services, and responsive customer care.

They are joined by Barrenjoey Marine Electrics, a respected marine electrical business with extensive experience delivering high-end electrical and stabilisation solutions to Australian vessel owners.
